Brides questions answered

Hi there-I am in a panic ;0 and have been stood up by a particular weddingplanner on Oahu and now I am trying to find another more reliable andflexible one. We are looking to get married on 10/23/06 (monday). I hope it is not toolate to plan it for this date but we could be a little flex with thedate. We would like to do a beach wedding at a location that is ofcourse as secluded as possible. I have heard that makapuu beach may be agood choice but I don't know. Also perhaps chinaman's hat but again, notsure - that's why I need HELP ) I understand that all beaches arepublic but I am really hoping that we can find one that is not going tohave other weddings going on within eyesight of our ceremony. We'd liketo get married at sunset but that is not a requirement. I love the chairtreatments and flowered aisles that you show in your pictures. I didn'tsee any packages listed which I kind of like b/c we want to customizethis to fit our budget and our ideas. Also, ever hear of the sous cheffrom La Mer that does beachfront dinner? I like that idea. I need somehelp in determining the "reception" - either the beachfront dinner ORfind a NICE place on the beach/water that we could just order off themenu or something. We have about 35 invitees with 7 confirmed so farjust by word of mouth.So... if this sounds like something you would be able to help with, please tell me what your overall approach to planning weddings is. howmany weddings do you conduct in one day? What will you help us with andwhat won't you do? Do you work up a package with the things we want andthen give us an estimate? How flexible are you regarding what you wouldbe responsible for? Here is just a quick list of what I am thinking Ineed help with:--Find me a great, beautiful, semi-secluded location that isn't morethan 40 minutes away from honolulu or waikiki.--Set up for the ceremony with chairs and flowered aisle. no arch ortorches or anything additional like that. Ceremony should be short - nomore than 20 minutes.--Secure the basic wedding officiant (no reverend, no one too"religious", more of a JOP or someone spiritual yet non-secular)--Help me figure out a reception plan. Either dinner on the beach (whichwould need to include some setup of tables, lighting (candles/white xmaslights/torches etc.) or a dinner location where we can go after theceremony. This is one area I do not want to skimp on - the food and winemust be amazing, 4-5star. --Counsel me on music. We'd like to play our own CD collection. Perhapswe just need to bring our own boombox or something, if we do thereception/dinner on the beach.--Flowers for the bride bouquet, groom boutenniere, 2 small leis forflower girl and ring bearer.--Professional wedding photographer who is not intrusive. I do not wanta lot of POSED pictures. I need someone who is good and quick. I do notwant to spend hours getting photos taken. Also, no video needed.--Limo service somewhere - depends on location and reception location. We would supply the champagne for the ride.--Help us get the marriage license if necessary. We will need to get iton Saturday the 21st of October.--Recommend a place for a luau on Saturday or Sunday night.--Help me figure out what I have forgotten!--Help me not to stress out!!!Thank you in advance. I can be contacted best by email or my cell:408-966-1163Hope to hear from you soon,Emily
