A Brief History of Cameras - Discover
Its Humble Beginnings And Take A Peak At Its Future

The humble beginnings of today’s high-end cameras had its roots back in the 16th and 17th century when early cameras were able to capture images on glass. The whole photography process then was still unknown. It was not until Isaac Newton’s discovery of light and optics when the very foundation of cameras was developed. From this very event led a cascade of developments.

Today, almost everybody owns a camera. If you look at an online camera catalogue, you would be really overwhelmed by the range and variety of cameras that you can choose from. Unlike cameras of the past where pictures were mainly black and white, cameras of this era are all about color and more color. Black and white cameras not only restrict the emotion and meaning being elicited by the photographer, but it also evokes a gloomy, serious note to the viewer.

With the advent of today’s technological and digital age, we are more able to make pictures come to life. There are these computer programs and software that we can use to edit and store pictures for future use. With digital cameras, bulky rolls of films and the added costs of developing are eliminated for good. We can just have our photos printed from our very own printers at home and still keep that good quality we normally get if we have it professionally developed.

High definition or HD video cameras and cameras are the boon today. With HD cameras, you can put your imaginations into tangible photos. HD cameras not only take great pictures but they are also equipped with huge memory storage for you to be able to take thousands of photos at a time.

HD cameras are loaded with great features and capabilities. Among which is the optical zoom. You can find cameras with up to 10x plus optical zoom. Take pictures with an HD camera like a professional and you are sure to get absolutely amazing results. With HD cameras, your point and click skill may suffice a great photo. Of course HD cameras are not cheap but since everything is being refined every time, just wait until their prices drop down.

Since we now have the most intricately designed and well-research gadgets today, what is in store for us in the future to come? If you think the features of today’s modern cameras are stunning, then we must expect for a more high end cameras.

Four concepts in camera development are most likely to take a leap in the future. The first two concepts are getting the best resolution and richer color and tone for a much simpler and cheaper price. Now, it is understandable that these cameras are quite expensive but since more and more cameras are being developed every second, we can anticipate that we can have those cameras in the future.

The third concept is lighting. Cameras, whether it is a digital camera or a high definition camera, is still limited when we talk about how it works with different lighting conditions. We have to admit that not one camera can produce great results without the help of natural sunlight or a halogen light. Camera developers are aiming to produce those which do not need lighting supplements at all. The last would be compatibility with software for editing and storage.

Thanks to the camera and photography experts, we can be our own team of professional photographers!
