Preston and I started dating the summer of 2002, then we were both ambitious teenagers looking for a fun summer romance. Little did we know that our love would grow into an inseparable bond. Throughout the years we have grown together, we have supported each other in ways that only soul-mates can understand. We never doubted the strength of our love or the direction it would take, we both knew after the first couple of years that our bond would never be broken. There is nothing that we would not support each other in doing, our love only continues to grow. Our future is full of adventure, love, and support! After dating for seven years Preston and I moved in together and just celebrated our eighth Christmas by getting engaged!!!!

Meghan- I am 24 and a school social worker. I enjoy spending time outside and at the lake. One of my favorite things Preston and I do together is grill outside and enjoy a bottle of wine. I love to laugh and play around!

Preston- I am 27 and a custom cabinet builder. I enjoy playing sports and being outdoors. I enjoy almost any physical activity; I am always up for a challenge! I love taking walks in the summer with Meghan and our dog Baxter and spending time with my family.

  The engagement-
On our eighth Christmas together Preston and I waited to open presents at midnight on Christmas. Preston had lit candles and we had the Christmas tree lights on, a blanket spread across the floor, and our presents before us. Outside the window snow was falling and the evening was perfectly romantic! Preston opened his presents first and then presented me with a large gift bag. I read the card- it talked about it snowing outside, the Christmas tree being lit, and being with my love. Preston wrote in the card that he hoped what was in the bag would warm me throughout the winter and what was in the pocket would warm me for the rest of my life. Puzzled I opened the bag to find the coat that I had wanted! I was so excited that I put the coat on and started dancing around on my knees. I turned to face Preston and he was sitting on the blanket, he took my hand and said there is something in the pocket, I reached in the pocket and pulled out a perfect square box. He took my hand and started shaking; he said “Will you spend the rest of your life with me?’ I began crying and he continued to shake… I said, “Oh my gosh, Yes!” After hugging and kissing I finally opened the box to find the perfect ring!
