Their story
Rose & Nate’s 25 Year Silver Anniversary
After twenty five years of marriage, Rose and Nate came to Oahu to say “I do” all over again. On July 29, 2026, from 2 to 4 in the afternoon, they renewed their vows on the sand at Waialae Beach Park, with the ocean behind them, their family and friends in the white chairs, and their two sons standing right beside them. It was a celebration of a silver anniversary, and the whole day was dressed in white, green and silver.
Their setup was a bamboo archway draped in soft white chiffon and silver organza, dressed with white flowers and fresh greenery. White flowers and greenery lined the sides of the chairs and the aisle, so the arch looked like it was rising out of a garden on the beach. Rose wore white with single white flowers in her hair and carried a white bouquet, Nate and the boys wore silver gray shirts with white orchid boutonnieres, and everyone wore fresh flower leis. Their rings waited in a wooden bowl, tied with teal ribbon to starfish. We took care of the setup and breakdown, the flowers, the photography and a videographer who filmed the whole ceremony with a wireless mic, scenes of the island and a romantic teaser with drone footage.

Getting ready
Boutonnieres & Happy Tears
Before the ceremony, Rose pinned white orchid boutonnieres on her sons’ silver shirts, one at a time, right by the arch with the ocean behind them. It did not take long for the happy tears to come, and the boys were right there to wipe them away. Moments like these are why we love vow renewals with the whole family.
Processional
Walking In Together
Nate walked in first and waited at the archway. Then came their two sons, then Nate’s parents and Rose’s parents, walking arm in arm across the park and onto the sand, and finally Rose, walking under the palm trees toward the man she married twenty five years ago.
The ceremony
Renewing Their Vows by the Sea
Under the bamboo arch, with their sons standing beside them, Rose and Nate read the vows they had written for each other. There was laughter, a few more tears, and a lot of love, while both sets of parents watched from the front row.
Rings & leis
Rings, Leis & Starfish
Their rings were tied with teal ribbon to starfish in a wooden bowl, and their son carried them to the arch. After a blessing, they placed the rings on each other’s fingers once more, and exchanged fresh flower leis, a white orchid lei for Rose and a lei for Nate.
A Hawaiian gift
Their Son Dances the Hula
Then came one of the most special moments of the day: one of their sons danced the hula for his parents on the sand, wearing a long green maile lei, with the ocean behind him. In hula, the hands tell the story of the song, and every movement was a gift of love to Rose and Nate after twenty five years together.
Vows renewed
The Kiss & the Walk Back
Then came the kiss under the bamboo arch, cheers from their family and friends, and a happy walk back down the aisle through the white flowers as husband and wife, twenty five years strong.
Toast & first dance
A Toast, Then Their First Dance
At the arch, Rose and Nate raised their champagne glasses with their sons for a family toast. Right after toasting, they went into their first dance, swaying together under the bamboo arch with the ocean behind them.
Portraits
Portraits at the Bamboo Arch
After the ceremony we stayed at the arch for portraits: looking out to sea hand in hand, laughing together, and a few quiet moments forehead to forehead.

A Walk Along Waialae Beach
Then we walked along Waialae Beach, where the sand is soft and the water is calm and clear. Rose and Nate walked hand in hand by the waves, with Koko Head in the distance and the palm trees behind them.

Under the Palms With the Mountains Behind
In the park behind the beach, tall palm trees and the green mountains made the perfect backdrop. Rose and Nate laughed in the breeze, kissed under the palms and raised their arms to celebrate twenty five years, and Rose had a few portraits of her own among the palm trees.
Family
Family Is Everything
A vow renewal is a family celebration. Rose and Nate shared the day with their two sons and with both sets of parents, who walked in during the processional and watched from the front row. Three generations together on the beach in Hawaii.
