Many couples love the idea of lighting a unity candle at their wedding. On the beaches of Hawaii, though, the ocean breeze makes it almost impossible to keep a candle lit. That is why Aloha Island Weddings offers a Hawaiian alternative: lighting a fire tiki torch together. It brings a touch of old Hawaii to your ceremony and a warm glow to your photos.
After you say your vows and exchange rings, and just before your minister pronounces you married, the two of you light the torch side by side. Sometimes one torch is already burning and you light the second together, as a sign of two lives becoming one. Children can be part of it too, gathering close as mom and dad light the flame. It is especially beautiful at a sunset wedding or vow renewal, when the flames glow against the evening sky.
Tiki torches come in bamboo, iron and wood styles, and we decorate them with fresh tropical flowers to match your colors, like Asiatic lilies, mango mini calla lilies and green cymbidium orchids.
