Their story
A Horseback Proposal on the Beach
Kai and Leilani began their evening with a ride. The two of them rode a white horse and a buckskin horse along a quiet Oahu shoreline, with green mountain cliffs rising behind them and the waves rolling in. Waiting for them on the sand was a big heart made of pink, blue and fuchsia flowers, a wooden welcome sign and a conch shell.
As the sun dropped toward the ocean, Kai knelt in the flower heart and asked the question, with the horses standing close by. Leilani said yes, and the rest of the evening was pure joy: haku leis for both of them, a ring held up to the sunset, and a lot of laughter. Watch their story in the video below.

Meeting the Horses
Before the proposal, Kai and Leilani spent time with their horses on the sand: a gentle pat, plenty of smiles, and photos with the white horse and the buckskin side by side. Horses love attention, and they make wonderful, calm company for a couple.
The question
The Flower Heart & the Question
The proposal spot was a heart of fresh flowers on the sand, right by the water, with the horses waiting nearby. Kai went down on one knee, the ring came out of its box, and Leilani said yes. A conch shell, a Hawaiian symbol of new beginnings, held the ring for a few special photos.

Golden hour
Haku Leis at Sunset
After the proposal came the fun part: a flower crown for her, a haku lei for him, and photos as the sun set over the ocean, from soft kisses in the golden light to a black and white portrait in the sand.
